Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police towards DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's covered the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
